Cherish the DAY!

~ Our postal carrier handed me our mail the other day,

with a cheerful smile; remarking,

"The best part of this day was waking up".

I wasn't sure how to take that remark at first.

After a few moments, I replied,

" I guess if we do wake up in the morning,

we should feel very blessed".

He agreed, & drove off with a smile.

Yes, we all need to realize that even the most natural

of every day events

are gifts in our fortunate lives.

Simply, if you don't wake up...nothing else matters.

So, be thankful and greet each sunrise with a smile.

Be happy & feel privledged to have the chance

to Cherish another DAY!

It was an incredibly warm morning.
Clouds hovered high like hot smoke rings
in the sky. A perfect day for football.
Youth sports can be good for the soul.
It's great to see children with boundless
energy learning to be part of a team;
trying hard to give it their best shot.
Good job JFF & JJF!

Woke up to this sunrise vision

7:OO A.M.

100's evacuated, horse ranchers scrambling to save their precious families & horses, schools closed, wind driven fire destroying both residential & business structures, & a mobile home park, 210 & 118 freeways closed. The air is sick with smoke. This fire started yesterday at 2 a.m., & is considered suspicious. It's like a blow torch running through the hills. Unforgivable destruction.
