...the very next time he was at this beach,

he waited for the perfect set.

he stood right up,

and rode the wave in!

happy humpday...it's freezing!

Crazy wind & rain today!
36 degrees real feel.
Brrrrr
Miss the lazy days of summer?

~ Seems to be a heavy cold virus invasion.
We like hot green tea, Zicam,
echinacea, elderberry, vitamin C, etc.
Avoid hanging out with sick people,
wash your hands.
Get lots of rest.
Stay healthy.
Santa is coming!

~ The holidays can get hectic.
Running around in the rain
– oops, plop – there’s your cell phone
in a puddle of water!
Here’s a tip::

~ Another holiday meal...
Quick, make the jello.
If you want it to gel,
don’t add these…
non-gelatin-friendly fruits include

fresh pineapple, fresh ginger root,
kiwi, papaya, guava and figs.

~ Happy B-day-1-day BB & DD!
You are bursting with life & wisdom.
Be well. We love you!
Be happy always.

Update on Christmas tree decorating…
found a very willing 3 year old Little Man
to help with the delicate shimmering tinsel

Let's Go Fly A Kite

As if it were that easy!

Oddly, our family is kite challenged.
This picture represents a long time obstacle conquered!
Many kites ago, we set out to share with our children, the beauty of a
kite soaring, drifting freely, with it's colors gracing the sky.
Instead we got a kite gone mad, dive bombing us in some kind
of crazy kite attack.
Acting as if it were afraid of heights and would not fly under any circumstance .
All the while my husband
and I were running around like someone trying to dodge a bee attack.
Finally with our $5.00 kite, we soared.
At least long enough to take this pic!
xoxo.

4 Generations, Takin' A Dip!

I succeeded, at great cost,
to rescue the Family Home.
It has to be at least 85 years old;
boldly sitting in the middle of an acre
of aging orange trees.
In the middle of the yard is our secret oasis...
a crystal clear swimming pool;
secluded, old, but beautiful,
& exactly the right size (20’ x 40’!).
The one creation our Dad invested in,
which has provided endless summer fun
for 4 generations of our Family.
Our Parents have both passed away,
but this everlasting pool is
part of their respected legacy.
We were all there yesterday,

for one of our last summer swims.
Laughing, sunning, racing laps,
teaching the 2 youngest to swim & dive.
It’s priceless. Life is great.
You can almost see the smiling,
beaming faces of our Parents;
watching the happiness grow,
the hours of endless fun in their Pool.
The wacky diving, jumping, splashing.
Everyone is content at the Pool.
The troubles and drama of the world wash away.
It’s always been the center of
summertime magic for our Family.
We love it!
