Welcome Fall as Summer Fades

So long amazing Summer days, see you next year!

The Fall Equinox emerged around So.Cal.
last week in a blazing little heat wave.
The season shifts as we say goodbye
to many happy playful days of Summer.
I love the anticipation of autumn,
the energizing winds, gorgeous colors,
and joyous holiday planning.
It is a time for harvest,
a time to thank the Earth,
a time of mind to gather
our blessings and be grateful.
What’s so extraordinary about the Equinox?
Equinox was derived from a Latin term
meaning “equal night”.
On the first day of Autumn,
& the first day of Spring as well,
the nighttime is equal to the daytime
as a result of the tilt of our Earth’s axis
Everywhere on earth experiences
close to 12 hours of daylight and
12 hours of nighttime.
The entire world is unified
by this natural event.
There is balance in life.

"Come said the wind
to the leaves one day,
Come o're the meadows
and we will play.
Put on your dresses
scarlet and gold,
For summer is gone
and the days grow cold."

We love Fall!
